hi all,
I am interested in keeping a bench seat in my 1965. Would love to find one that also has a fold down arm rest in the centre.

Any recommendations on what actual seat to use?

Anyone have pics they would like to share?

Thanks for all the info on the site!

I put seats from an '01 Silverado in my '65. I had already relocated the fuel tank under the bed, but I think it would work fine if the tank was there. Those seats are 60/20/60 benches, with armrests. It also gives you shoulder belts as long as you reinforce the floor when you install it.

Thanks jk……. much appreciated.
Do you happen to have a pic?
Also, can I ask... how did you end up reinforcing the floor?

I should have added... I also moved the tank to the rear.

Sorry, I don't have any pics. Sold the seats because the ones I had were cloth, and I wanted to replace them with leather ones. When I looked at the stock 01 mounting, there is just a stamped 1/8" thick by 2"x3" steel piece welded to the floor. Therefore I found some thick fender washers that were 2" diameter for my mounts. When I put the next seats in, I plan to use the reinforcement from an '01 truck by drilling out the spot welds.
