'98 shortwide gmc, 350/auto good body and paint with a few hail dents. The interior is a little rough but livable for now. New tires on stock rims and the A.C. even works. He wants 2500.00.

Long story shortened. Lady ran a stop sign in front of me last wednesday. Insurance called today and told me my truck is totaled. Offered 3320.00. This was for a '93 swb with 4.3/4l60 with 317,000 on it. Needed paint and motor rebuilt. I took it.

You probably won't get 317,000 miles out of the 350. As good as the old small block was, even with the roller cam, it won't hang with a ls in the mileage department.

My two pennies.

Hope you weren’t injured, Lee.

If it was me, I’d offer the guy $2,000 and use the rest to tidy up the interior.

I looked around and found this was the best deal out there. The guy wouldn't come off the 2500.00 so I paid it. Turns out it's a 305 but runs like new. The truck is in great shape all around and goes down the road great.
The interior is just dirty and needs a good cleaning. It does need a new airbag disable switch, but haven't found a replacement.
I think I came out ahead in this deal, I gave 1800.00 for the '93 three years ago and hadn't done much but overhaul motor once.

I've had 3 350s go over 350,000 miles including one that is at 400,000 and counting.
