any opinions on replacing body cushions with rubber cushions on my 65 wagon ?

It's not a suspension/steering performance improvement issue, so I'd go with rubber body mounts for less vibration and noise transfer.
You never have to lube rubber body mounts unlike poly which will likely get squeaky after 5 years, and body mounts are tough to get at.
