Hi, I need to purchase a slip yoke for a trans I bought but don't know how to determine which to get. the trans tailshaft measures 1-3/8'' , 32 spline, 3-1/2''length of spline, and Im told its a 400 trans however I don't know the characteristics. Im going to be having the driveshaft that used to fit a powerglide cut and refit with an appropriate end for ujoint. So I also am not sure of what ujoint. If the front u joint is upgraded to match a turbo trans do I need to refit the rear. Basically im upgrading a 65 impala powerglide to a th400. thanks for any input

i know this is stale but it may help someone in the future. t400 yoke would be long or short depending on tailhousing length. seems that yours is short. u joint size is whatever you want and or can afford. i would upgrade to a 1350 u joint since you have to buy the yoke. added cost would be the driveshaft end in a 1350 size.
