Has anyone done the conversion from drumb brakes to rear disc brakes on a 1988 C1500? I found a few videos online, Eric the car guy, that show how he was to accomplish it. However when I called Summit Racing, they were place that Eric purchased the conversion kit, the person on the phone did not recommend the SSBC kit. In fact Summit does not sell that kit anymore, due to issues with SSBC not being able to fill orders or something like that.

Any thoughts on this would be great.

I wish my 04 had drum brakes. Constant maintenance and park brake ain't worth a flip

could not agree more.
My 03 tundra has drum brakes and they are excellent, no issues like GM had with the disc brakes.
Especially that era.
I would say if you have drum brakes you are better off.
I am sure someone has done a swap if you really wanted to though
