Sounds like Bill Mc Call's old car. He sold it not completed to a guy who finished it, then sold it at an older auction in Florida maybe 10-12 years ago? Was a real L72 car that had been wrecked on all 4 corners. Bill added the L89 heads. No documented L89 big cars.

that's my censor

Hmmm let me see, this is a forum of the exchange of ideas, learn from others on how maybe they repaired something as so we could try it, maybe where where could find a part we are looking for, technical data, numbers on a car?
When you start throwing out Lawyer, lips get sealed.

Yes I have been on this forum since it began, I get a Gold membership because I pay to use this site, (That's it) I did not ask for it, read above about how to join and you too can be a "gold Member" being one allows you to post pictures, and support the site, so don't assume anything drce500, cause you have already made the first half.

Also this is a family friendly site, everyone is "censored" so no reason to swear, CT's computer program does the censoring of certain words. And it's on my screen now, but will change when I post it.

Every once in a while (actually seldom) we get someone like you, who does not want to share their name, ask questions that are vague at best, Donny and others tried to ask, all you talk about is wanting to sue someone, makes everyone want to jump in and help.... don't you think? From what I gather (sort of, is that you are mad you sold a car 15 years ago (give or take) probably sold it for not so much, and someone made allot of money doing it, and the person buying the car bought the story, whether it was BJ or a PO, like it is the one that got away, that is how I see it, however if you were honest on your intentions and told the story from your point of view, it might, just might make sense.
Lighten up, you words are like a over wound clock!
The car is gone and BJ has bigger Lawyers than any of us, so who would give you information if the had it? Your axe to grind is yours, BJ has been sued so many times, and their contracts protect them, so honestly unless you have big money and want to throw it away, go for it, but with your attitude and lack of info, it's just not worth it.
Oh and the PT was nice "Funny guy huh"

I am pretty transparent.

I am not saying the car in question was Bill Mc Call's car.

I spoke with Bill Mc Call today. His car was purchased from Joe DiTullio in the Pittsburgh area. That car was positively a real L-72 car. Joe was driving the car home from a show and got hit in it. Mc Call purchased the car from him and repaired/restored it. I sold Bill the RH NOS quarter panel as well as many other NOS items for that car. Bill was about 75-80% complete restoring the car and sold it to a gent who finished it and took in to BJ in Florida and where it sold for a crazy amount of money (like over 175K as I recall). No idea what happened to it after that.

if you read his ad from b-j he states he bought it from phillip roberts.so which of his statements is true?actually i can tell you,im phillip roberts,he bought the car from me.nothing, and i mean nothing in the cars description is true.when he purchased the car from ME it had no drivtrain and ZERO paperwork or documentation. the whole story is b s.the car was a big block,396??427-low horse??427-425?floor shift car.thats it.yes,it was wrecked,i had the frame pulled here in buckeye lake ohio.i will say he did a great job on the car and an even better job on the documentation.

Wow! This is the kind of drama that happens when market values go up on these cars. How do you fake that kind of paperwork? Other than verifying the physical attributes of a car (which can be faked) the paperwork is usually the most important part of documenting an authentic car.
