Has anyone had success with the using the Shock Wave Shocks on there front end to cushion the ride. I have a 1955 chevy conv. and it rides rough. I'm in the process now of putting new leaf springs on it I sure hope this works. The ones I took of are no good.

New leaf springs should help the back. I like KYB gas shocks, but they are a little stiffer and work best if you have a shock bar to keep the shocks from going through the floor pan.
Regarding the shockwaves on the front, I do have them. I have them on the least firm setting and they are still a bit firm unless you air them up to at least 70psi or so. Anything less and they bounce around too much. Airing them up above 90psi or so causes a firmer than desired ride.
If your car is at stock ride height, I think you would be best staying with original coils and a good set of shocks.
