Wondering if anyone has a 2007 to 2013 GM 5.3 6 speed transmission with a 6 gauge instrument cluster but without the factory trailer brake controller?

My truck has a 4 gauge instrument cluster and I would like to find a 6 gauge that will work. Problem is the eBay suppliers I have contacted only have 6 gauge clusters from trucks with the factory trailer brake controller. I bought one and ended up returning it because we were unable to git rid of the "Service Trailer Brake System" message. Cluster was looking for a non existent brake controller. Thinking if I had the VIN from a truck optioned like mine with a 6 gauge cluster I might be able to come up with a cluster part number. What I really need is the cluster part number but first I need to find out if the beast even exists.

Do you tow a trailer?
I ask this because I am curious if the trailer brake module is prewired under the truck.
Would be near the fuel pump control module.
I assume not as there is controls for it as well.
Not sure how plug and play it would be.
I am sure someone will chime in on this

Been a while...
I did eventually find a cluster that would work in my truck. They did make trucks with the 6 gauge cluster without the TBC. Took a little back and forth with different sellers and looking up RPO codes but was worth it.

From what I discovered adding the factory TBC is a big chore. Both the dash and body wiring harnesses have to be replaced plus buying all the modules. It's so involved GM simply says it can't be done.

The difference between the two clusters is that the 6 gauge cluster has oil temp and battery meter, correct?

Oil pressure and batt voltage. It is more or less plug and play, just have to get the one that matches the RPO codes from your truck.

The other issue is the mileage and engine time. Unless you get one from someone that can adjust the mileage. Some can adjust the mileage but not the engine time.

My replacement cluster has about 2000 miles more than the truck actually has. Local spedo shop wanted $125.00 to adjust it which is more than I paid for the cluster. Will probably just leave it as-is, after my first oil change it won't make much difference and another 2000 miles on a 160,000 mile truck won't change it's value by very much.
