What's the difference between the seats in a 1954 Bel Air 4 door sedan and a 1953 210 4 door sedan? Eckler's has seat covers for the 54, but not for the 53. I thought the difference between the Bel Air seats and the 210 seats is the trim. Or are the seats themselves different? I'm curious to know the difference.

Thanks, Johnnie.

The upholstery was different for the 210 vs the Bel Air, and also between the '53 models and the '54 models. So there are four different sets of seat and door upholstery and two different sets of stainless door trim. If you are not a stickler for authenticity if won't bother you.

Thanks a lot. I was sure it was only as you stated, design and pattern. Then there should be no problem putting the 54 covers on 53 seats. Not a stickler on authenticity since I'm not going back original with the car. I have a really nice set of 2005 impala, leather power buckets, I had planned to install, but my wife likes the original seat. Maybe she want's to set over close to me like she did 51 years ago before we got married!!

The bride of 67 years and I have discussed the current and recent cars with console as not being in the best interest of the romantic. I did however have bucket seats in my 2 door 38 Chevy which is the car I owned when we met.

Cruzan Okie, I just finished redoing the interior of my 53 210 2 door with Ciadella Interiors, in Tempe Az. The period-correct colors and textures are what they are all about..Gina one of the owners is fabulous to deal with and very kind. The experience was one for the books ..Believe me, they care about your experience. I changed from brown to charcoal and grey of the 55 chev in my 53. I'm going to change the outside color of the car is why. The seats will match the new colors I've chosen for paint...Gina even encluded extra material for the blanket holder pull straps, on the f/seat backs, at no extra cost. and enough for the side shells on the front seat. Check their site for options and call them you will get to the top with someone who really cares about your car They have ever thing in house hand straps, windlace, headliner and f/back seat foam. My original foam would powder yellow dry rot every time anyone sat on the seat, could not keep the car clean..shipped very fast made to order and done very well. check their site and you will find everything for your chev whatever year. I had a local guy install the covers and he praised the quality of the covers and they look great.
