Installed a set of Ecklers traction bars on 55 Chevy, 5-speed with 3:73 posi rear. Still getting wheel hop.Installed as per directions , what am i missing.Should the bars be adjusted to the front or to the rear. Thanks

They should be adjusted on the ground with the car at loaded ride height, I would adjust them evenly front and rear just enough to slightly preload the bar. Instructions with kit should be followed.

IF these traction bars are Eckler's so-called "slapper-bars", I'd remove them, take them to a scrap metal dealer, and be done with it. There are far better slapper-bars out there, and many of the "Traction-Master" type bars. Personally, for a street car, I'd probably go with the "Traction-Master" type bars; if it were a Street/Bracket Car, I'd go with a good slapper bar. 4-links/coil overs are too expensive for me considering my car hardly gets driven these days. If you go with slapper type bars, just be sure the contacting point on the spring is just under the front spring eye, otherwise, they WILL bend your leaf springs. Ladder bars are too binding, in most cases, for the street. The other issue is having good leaf springs and shocks to begin with. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
