Has anyone converted from manual drum brakes to power disc brakes on a 72 Chevelle? My horn relay is also a 12 volt power distribution point & is located where the booster fits for power brakes. It doesn't look like there is enough wire length to move it very far. I have found that a 70 Malibu with p/b has its relay on the radiator support left side, but haven't found a 72. Having it there, sounds like a very different wire loom: I'm trying to keep things looking stock. When I look up the part, I find some diff looking relays, but no distinction is made for manual vs power brakes?
Thanks for any help.

The horn relay is located on the radiator core support on the passenger side, on the back side, inside engine compartment.

Thanks for your reply. That complicates the conversion.

What kind of wiring harness is it, GM, aftermarket? Photos? Could you replace some wires with longer ones and solve your problem?

The horn relay on a 72 is on the firewall above the brake booster. Earlier Chevelles were on the core support. 72 was only year on firewall.

The last I heard, they do not make an exact replacement relay for 72. The Chevelle parts places have one that's supposed to work. I never tried it, so I don't know.I would think the wire harness would be for a stock 72.
