I have seen a Fisher manual for the 57 and it looks like the top edge clips by the rear shelf are missing as well as the brackets welded to the frame at the lower edges (only the passenger side one is there) but nowhere on the body to screw it to. Also missing are the mounting cups that sit in the rectangular holes in the floor for the seat base to sit into. Where do I get these? Does anyone have a diagram or photo of their rear seat area (seat removed) that I can refereence for location of the missing tabs? email me direct if you do at Bruza

Was there a business coupe in 58? They had no rear seat but just a shelf on the floor and a hard panel for the trunk divider.

Those cups are not reproduced. You would have to get them from a donor car.

I can take some pictures tomorrow of the mounting hooks. Mine is an Impala so yours might be slightly different in a two tailight car.

There could have been, I have no idea what the car's USA history was and how it came to be nothing but a box of bits. I located the cups from Mutton Hollow Chevys and they fit beautifully and the corresponding wire loops on the underside of the seat base are there to sit in the cups. I found a link to the Fisher assembly manual for earlier years and this gave me diagrams of the seat construction and positioning of the hooks and tabs. I intend to make these from 15mm aluminum sheet and screw them in placce at the right points. I don't trust myself with a welder and rusty pin holes in the gas tank.
