There are two stainless steel trim pieces on the dashboard where the two colors meet. A short one left of the speedometer and a longer one to the right. Attached is a photo of the fasteners. Five have a washer, four are washer-less & a bent clip. What is the correct placement for these fasteners? Thanks

I did some looking around in my parts catalogs...clip number 2121310, the bottom most clip in your photo is shown to be used on the 49-50 dash molding (1 ea.). I took the two stainless trim pieces off of my '50 when I cleaned and painted the lower portion of the dash. For the life of me, I do not recall encountering that particular clip. It was about 30 years ago though. Hum? Maybe above the glove box as it would be difficult to reach with the glove box installed; just a guess.

I finally got around to re-installing the S/S trim on the passenger side of the dash. I did use the "odd" clip at the far right hand side. RAM, you are probably correct about the glove box being in the way when the car was being assembled on the line. Without the glove box installed, a regular clip would work.
