I am replacing my 383 stroker in my 55 Chevy with an LT1 out of a 1995 Impala. I am re using my Super T10 BG 4 speed, have looked at the LT1 flywheel and clutch and it will not work. Anyone do a similar swap, and which flywheel and clutch did you use

You can use the flywheel from an 86-99 truck. It's 168 tooth, big diameter, so you may have to use the starter from the same truck, as well as a bellhousing that accepts a big flywheel.

Thanks, I assume it is a small block flywheel. Not sure if big block is different, but thought I should ask

No they are different. You need a flywheel for a 350 or 305 from 86 up.

As far as I know LT1's are external balance so make sure you use the correct one!
An interesting swap - hope you will post along the way-
I'd rather be thorough than vague |
