I've noticed that the left side vent window needs to be lifted into place a little to close properly. The question is, will a worn out regulator cause this problem or is there an adjustment needed and where? Thanks...

Have you taken the door panel off?
you can see the regulator for the wing vent, run the wing vent and watch the action of the regulator vs. the wing vent, then take the window crank regulator out and see how the movement is effected.

I think it'll be the regulator, but take a look at the Body Service Manual, section 1D pages 18-20. That gives all adjustments for the 'ventilator assembly'.

I have not looked at it yet but I will. I do know I have to turn the handle a little bit more before the wing will start moving...thanks

It is a lot sloppier feeling than the right side. I'm thinking you're right and I'll just replace both sides while I'm at it...thanks

This may help visualize how the vent window is supported. There are 4 stakes in the vent window frame shaft that position it in the pivot bracket. This is looking at the assembly from the outer side of the door.

Thanks for the picture, as they say, worth a 1000 words. I will report my findings when I get into it next week, the parts should be here by then...
