I have a 1963 c10 and i am thinking about converting it to 4wd. Can i just use a k10 drive train and mount it to my existing frame? And if so what years do i need the drive train from? 63-66?

The following link has good information. In short, you need everything off the front of the chassis, including crossmember, axle front suspension, etc. One thing to note is the chassis is the same on 63-72 trucks, so you can look for a 67-72 chassis also. The easiest approach is to swap the '63 body onto the 4x4 chassis, if you can find one.
