Hi, can I polish out a run with like 1200 grit or is it not the way to go when dealing with a metallic paint?

ended up sanding down the run and reshooting the piece for a satisfactory result

Didn't see your post when you posted in September. Was going to say, you can certainly make the run smooth...but I'd bet you still saw it because of the way that metal had oriented itself in the run. Was also going to say spray the panel once again and try to replicate gun settings and distance. But looks like you already got that accomplished.
