I happened to be cruising Craig's list and noticed my 54 two door sedan with a blown six I built that I sold a few years ago was for sale again. Checked it out and virtually nothings changed from when I sold it. Seeing and hearing it on their video made me wish I'd never sold it!

Lots of pics and a video too. BTW, I have no stake in this, just some regret.

I have pics of this still on my phone from when I saw it at the Damascus car show at the church...loved that car

When the money from the sale is spent and gone, I some times regret selling the car.

I will go to my grave regretting selling only 3 cars: 49 Plymouth 4dr, 51 Chevy 2dr hardtop (Belair), 77 HARD LOADED 2dr Impala. The Impala was originally a 305/auto with EVERYTHING!!! I could have later replaced the 305 with a SB400 and gone with a Turbo 350 or Turbo 400. It already had a 2.73 posi. This would have been an ALL AROUND car WITHOUT any computer or emissions crap!
The 49 Plymouth could have been upgraded with 12v, an early SMALL HEMI with 2x4 carbs, 4sp and DANA rear with the appearance looking factory.
The 51 could have been upgraded to 12v, with 261 bored/stroked to 283, Muncie and 57 axle housing and 3.08 posi, with a factory appearance.
Oh well-------------------

57 axel and 3.08. Thats what I have - though not posi. Its a nice gear for just about every form of daily driving. I love it - dont feel like I need 4speed overdrive and 3.55

Yes! My first car was a 79 Camaro Z28, that my Dad and a friend had completely re-done. Had so much fun with that car, and even won some trophies at local car shows. Sold it when I was about 18 or 19 to get a newer Z, and the guy that bought it got drunk and flipped it about two weeks later, slid it down the highway on it's roof for about 75 yards. My buddy took me to see it in the guy's grandparents back yard, just made me sick. Unfortunately, by the time a few years later when I had a little money, they had sent it to the scrapyard or sold it so I couldn't buy it back.

DZ, I learned to drive in a '49 Plymouth 4-door. It was Mom's car. Pop had a '53 Sedan Delivery. Loved that '49 Plymouth. The bumpers were absolutely the best.

Where I lived in Oregon in 1950 those bumpers would disappear over night and eventually show up on some ones 40 Ford!

Yep. The bumpers were and still are highly valued. Some place is reproducing them in aluminum.
