I am looking at a 1970 gmc with a 10 year old restoration. I have to travel to get it yet.
The seller said it didn't have back up lights as long as they had it as far as he knows.
The lenses and sockets are there in the photos.
My question is, did the trucks with the manual with creeper gear, have a back up switch on the manual shift lever?

If my memory is correct, the backup light switch is located on the top cover. It is screwed into the back edge of the cover. Again, memory is sketchy here, but I think the shift rod inside the cover actually pushed the switch when shifted into reverse.

The floor shift 4 speed transmissions had the back up switch on the transmission. The 3 speed transmissions were set up with the switch in the the shift column.
