I have a 30 chevy 194 with Babbitt rod bearings. Can anyone tell me if the Main bearings are Babbitt also. I removed the Crankshaft and removed the Mains they look like insert bearings. They came out easy.Plus it has the Chevy Emblem stamped on it.
Thank you so much for your time and info.

Insert bearings are easily removed from the cap, no way to confuse with poured babbit.

Asking if anyone has rebuilt this engine before. The main bearings look like brass inserts. Do I need to have the covered in Babbitt or are they true insert bearings? If they are regular insert bearings does anyone have a Part number for the mains?

Thank you in advance for all you time and help.
