Today, I cut the hole in my dash for the cruise control bezel, and noticed these metal pieces behind the new hole. Can someone shed some light on what they are for? This metal bracket is located just below the wire that goes from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock. The is one on each side, that look like it were to hold something, like a flasher, but it is too large for that. Thanks Junk

It's an electrical connector retainer and according to the installation instructions, you need to bend the right side outwards to clear the controller.

Cheers, Carl.

Those metal brackets are to hold the front to rear wiring harness large plastic connector were the rear wiring harness plugs to the dash harness.

The brackets are made to fit the rectangular plastic male and female plug.

x2, the connector is a clear white plastic looking connector that has all the wires heading to the rear of the car in it.
