Just bought myself a ‘79 El Camino. First things first I’m not very handing but trying to learn. So she wouldn’t start on the way home, someone stopped to help and got under the car and banged the starter with a metal pipe, then he pushed upwards on the starter and we were able to start her, he said it just needed to be adjusted but I don’t know how credible that is. The guy I bought it from said a new starter was put in recently.
Any thoughts ?
