I am seeking help for my 1958 Corvette. The fine-thread bolts that secure the door to the hinge bar seem to have reamed slightly and will not tighten firmly. I know it is just a Corvette; however the General Motors assembly for that model show a bolt as 4625016. Other GM assembly guides show the same bolt number. I have no clues about what size bolt to ask for at NAPA or O'Reilley's. I can take one that I have removed but I am afraid that it was a replacement years ago when I restored the ride. Any clues would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I am searching Corvette Central's catalog for some clues and perhaps a bolt kit is available. Fingers and eyes crossed.

Not sure if the corvette is the same but 58 chevy full size cars use this style bolt for the door to hinge https://www.danchuk.com/ItemForm.aspx?Item=2062
This style for hinge to A pillar https://www.danchuk.com/ItemForm.aspx?Item=970
and this is one of the plates https://www.danchuk.com/ItemForm.aspx?Item=16836
another https://www.danchuk.com/ItemForm.aspx?Item=16834
you can also use a timesert to repair it.

https://www.amkproducts.com/ is another very good source.

A lot of the hardware on the tri fives carried over to the 58's so I keep a Danchuk catalog handy. A lot of the window rollers, stops and adjuster screws are the same or similar also.

AMKPRODUCTS.com is excellent

https://www.paragoncorvette.com/search.aspx?Year=1...

Are these buy chance what you are looking?
Or for the brackets they bolt into? are the threads of the bolts stripped or is it what they are screwing into?

Have used Paragon for different things, as like you said GM did use different parts across the lines as far as hardware.

Was looking for screws that are used on 66-67 Impala consoles as they seem to unique to consoles? so I purchased different screws from different years (some luck), and found the light inside the console for the 66-67 same as the lens appeared to be the same one used in the 63 corvette in the rear compartment if I remember, since I ordered from several different years they contacted me making sure I was sure of what I was asking for, I told them it was kind of fishing for screws, and I won't send them back if they do not work, but the console light works great, I believe the switch for that light will work as well.
https://www.paragoncorvette.com/ service from my standpoint was great, the bolts they show appear the same?

With AMK and appears it's the same with Paragon, I put part number in you supplied and the part came up, in the GM assembly guides for full size cars allot of times will have the part # for the hardware / bolts & Clips, type it in at AMK and sometimes you will be surprised.

Good Luck!
