Hi all, I have a '60 Belair 4 dr sedan with the small horn button, no chrome half-ring, and I can't figure out what's missing to hold that horn button onto the steering wheel. Not the contact parts, but the receiver cup. It seemed like only a 1/8" space around, so I bought a rubber piece off eBay saying it was for '60-'68. one eBay seller was right, it's not for this car. the chrome half-ring on my '60 El C. bolts down to the contact piece and then to the wheel. If someone could shoot me a photo of both sides once they pull the horn button off a similar model, I'd sure appreciate it. My car came just a bare wheel in a recent purchase. Thanks rcr3 for the tip where to post! I have photos on my email if needed. I called a page of classified ad phone #s from a 1991 Late Great Chevys, no help. Thanks for anything, my memory broke down-andy k
I forgot to say neither assembly manual nor service had much- the assembly man. was kind of mis-printy in the illustration. It's in the steering wheel section, after st. column, before wheels/tires. I even got a CD Rom of all part numbers-no diagram for those parts, section 6.513...I need to flag down a car or two here in my town.

You might find drawings in the assembly manual or the shop manual supplement for the 60?

You might give Danny a call, he may be able to help you.... let us know how you come out. A big welcome to Chevytalk where you can usually get an answer to your 60 questions pretty quick. Don I checked my 60 assembly manual and the shop manual but couldn’t find anything concerning the horn button. Lamar

Hi checkout my post on repairing a cracked steering wheel you will see the assembly that holds the horn together on my 1960 el camino .
Sorry about the size of the photos you need to scroll to the right you will see a part that has 9 fingers sticking up this holds the horn button on
on my el camino i would say it would be the same on biscaynes and belairs
