Does anyone have a vin decoder for the 55 chevy trucks? We just got ours and we're trying to confirm details. Haven't checked the frame to make sure the vin we have from the registration is correct - plate on the door is gone.
I also saw a comment about maybe being able to get a new vin plate from GMC? Has anyone else had luck with this?
I'm new to this world so be nice please! javascript:void(0)

The VIN on the frame probably will not be a complete VIN. There was a guy selling blank VIN plates on EBay years ago, but I don’t know if he is still doing it or even the legality of it. Personally I don’t see anything wrong with buying one and stamping in your actual VIN and attaching it with some JB Weld or the like. But some people can use them for more nefarious purposes. I hope you have a title or old registration that has a complete VIN on it.
