Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My brothers 1995 chevy s10 has an intermittent start run, then next day turns over but wont start. Then all of a sudden it will run.

Any suggestions?

Thank you all for your help!

It's not clear from your post; you're saying it starts and runs fine but other times it just cranks and never starts? Come back later and it starts normally?

Or -

Sometimes it starts normally and other times you need to crank it for a while (long crank time) before it starts?

That is correct sometimes it starts. Then later in the day it acts like it has no gas. Then it will start.

Four cylinder or V6?

The idea is to isolate the problem to either ignition or fuel.

Next time you get a no start:

Ignition - Put an inductive timing light on one of the spark plug wires and crank the engine over. See if the timing light flashes. If it does, it's probably a fuel issue. If it doesn't flash, it's probably an ignition issue.

(If it's an ignition issue, don't keep cranking the engine, it'll get flooded).

Fuel - Hopefully it's a V6 under the hood; remove the air cleaner lid and crank the engine over. Look for fuel spray at the injectors on top of the throttle body.

Remove the ignition module. Have it tested at a parts store. When it’s hot, it acts up. Are there any codes? What’s the build date? It may have ODBII options. If not, the port but codes are retrieved differently.

Thank you all, I found the rotor was coming apart, replaced distributer and rotar.

All is good.
