I have a Saginaw 4 speed with a Hurst shifter to use as mock-up. I want to use a T10 Borg Warner 4 speed when I get the car built. So my question are the dimensions basically the same on these 2 transmissions, (shifter location coming through floorboard, overall length etc.)

Overall length is the same but the Saginaw has a fine spline output shaft and the BW has coarse spline so the driveshaft yoke has to be changed between the two.

Shifter location may or may not be the same and will depend on where the mounting bosses are on the tail housing as well as the mounting plate for the shifter you are going to use. No guarantees on either being the same.
