I bought a glove box for my truck. When I went to install it, I could not due to the heated blower and associated ducts that would not allow the box to be inserted into the opening. This truck is extremely original. I cannot find any info on this. Possibly, only trucks from that year without a heater had an actual glove box?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think what you're running into is kind of a mathematical "order of operations" issue. The cars of this era are the same. If the glove box is already installed, and then the heater is installed - - no problem. However, try to do it the other way around and you almost have to crush the glove box to get it place. You may find that you will have to either partially or completely removed the heater assembly in order to get the glove box cardboard installed without crushing it.

Thanks for the response. I bought this truck in the 70s, it never had a glove box since I had it. I probably tried installing one decades ago and ran into the same problem and gave up, LOL. Back then there was no internet for help.
Thanks again
