Just got this 1939 Chevy. This is my first time working on a car this caliber. Just changed out the motor mount bolts to correct diameter.

What I know about this car:
350 crate motor with low hours
Th400 transmission
Mustang front steering components
Tilt wheel
4 wheel Disk brake setup
Cut firewall receding 2 inches
Headers
Ez wiring
Have back window
Powder coat frame

Hoping to put it back together. Is this car a deluxe or a coupe?

It is a coupe. Does it have a back seat? Looks like it does have a back seat, that would make it a 5 passenger coupe.

Got the front end back on. The hood isn’t painted, so wiring is the goal.

Looks like a very nice car to begin a project with! Wish my '39 was that clean and far along when I got it!
I've been doing rust repair to the body for the last couple months, and still have a way to go with that. Once that's done I'm dropping in a 1990 roller motor with early LT1 heads. A 700R4 overdrive trans, and an 8.8" Ford rear in 3.73 posi.
A 5 passenger coupe will also usually have sliding rear 1/4 windows. Mine does.
Good luck with your build!

Got the car wired. Had some leaks of water, gas, and transmission. Starter was squeaking, so shim adjustments were made. Kept the car at steady idle to break it in. Fan engages around 180.

Next goal is to determine if the car has brakes, and engages into gear.
