I have a roll of Dynamat like insulation, 24" wide and am wondering if anyone has any tips on installing it. On the floor, would it be best to roll it out side to side or front to back?

The roof seems self-explanatory but any suggestions appreciated.

You'll find it best to cut it in smaller pieces, to better fit the conturs of the floor and easier to lay.

I used masking paper as a template. I formed and trimmed it to the contour then transferred the shape to the Dynamat.

A heat gun or powerful hair dryer, along with a small diameter wooden roller, can help with laying the material onto deeply contoured areas.

Hello;
I once had some Dynamat look alike stuff, the kind with a heavy foil on one side and black sticky on the other side

Did the install over the week-end and it came out pretty good thanks to all the tips. Used them all!
