My buddy has a 62 Impala manufactured in Canada. We have identified a few differences in this car from US manufactured cars. Air cleaner assembly, hood springs are blue, valve covers have 'CHEVROLET' decals, the shift indicator, and cardboard trunk panels (which rarely survived).

I think you'll also notice that the underside of the hood is painted body color rather than satin black. That threw me for a loop back in the days when I was doing the pre-classification tech at LGCA conventions!

Most of the Canadian cars I have seen have had one-piece bumpers. I purchased several from a Canadian salvage yard.

The Canadian cowl trim tags are very different to US tags in 62.

Cheers, Carl.

You are correct. Here's the tag from that car.

I have never seen a pic of the cardboard trunk liners. Very Pontiac like.

I watched a judge at the LGC convention in 2002 walk right past Dennis McLendon's freshly restored red 409 bubbletop and gasp at these dirty cardboard trunk panels.
