i have a 66 impala ss powerglide shift on the floor. i am trying to install a new turn signal switch. after placing housings over the shaft,
when i place the switch in position it does not seat at the bottom of the housing where i screw it down. my bushings all seem to be correctly in place. thinking my new switch was off in size, i tried reinstalling the old switch with the same results.
any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
tom

I just put a new switch in my 65 with column shift, no drama at all. I'm having a hard time visualizing how yours doesn't seat. Hope you get it figured out.
