How about a 56 HANDYMAN BEL AIR, as in Bel Air 2 door wagon, and it's NOT a Nomad? Sure, it's been done before, but this one was obviously done a LOT of years ago based on the rust and damage to the car. That auction site we all know and love, item number 254291350432.

But why someone would do so much work, just to let it fall so far into rustdom? Maybe Chevrolet should have made the car as a step just before the Nomad. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

Butch,
I had a 55 exactly like it. It came from the factory like that. It was a Bel-Air. All the seat moldings front, and back were chrome. The back seat folded down to make a big cargo area. The back of the seat was hard plastic if I remember.

I had to sell it to pay for a trailer house move.

Life. I wish I still had it. I don't even have a picture of it. (insert sigh here)

I don't think they "did so much work". The fenders and doors are Bel Air, the quarters are 210.

Look at what's "left" of the interior; all that diamond tuft was nice at one time. Now, it's just all rust; really nothing left to build from, maybe some trim work. But, a 2 door, Bel Air Wagon, that's NOT a Nomad, even if it's just a "made-up car", is pretty impressive. Shame it could't have been saved a long time ago. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.
I saw a 150, 4 door wagon, that someone had "made" from a 210; looked pretty good, and no one had another one like it.

Now I wonder why there was never a "150" two door wagon.
No back seat, no chrome, no stainless, cheap as a two door wagon could be made.
Or is there one I don't recall?
6 banger, manual column shift?
Seems to me this would lead to the elusive 5-6-7 el camino.

Yes, the Handyman 2dr wagons came in both 150 & 210 trim in '55,'56 and '57.

One give-away to a 150 wagon is no stainless trim at the beltline or around the side windows.

Can I get that to GO? * * * '56 210 HT * * * '56 BelAir HT * * *
