Hi all,
I have two issues that I need help with. First, two brake dash lights are on, one on the right side of the steering wheel, it has "ABS" on it.On the left side of the steering wheel, just the word "brake" is lit up. Could this be the fault of one fuse? I found a 10A fuse on the diagram, have not removed it yet.Brakes are working fine.
Next issue is with cig lighter and two charging ports.None of these work. I can take the doghouse off and check for a loose wire or could it be a fuse as well?
Thanks for your help.

The cig lighter and ports are probably on a fuse. Check it. Remove and inspect the cig port too. They have a tendency to burn up too. Check for power at the wire. How were the ports installed? My 95 Jimmy had two additional power cig ports. Does yours have the same?

The ABS light is probably a bad sensor. Without an advance scanner it's really hard to know which one may be causing a problem. Some models, do have have generic OBDII codes. Have it scanned. The problem is usually one of the front sensors. If you remove the fuse, the ABS system will be disabled. Brakes will still work fine.

Regarding the BRAKE and ABS lights on at the same time...

I'm kind of late to the party, but my '03 Safari started doing this recently. It's intermittent at start up. Sometimes, if I drive a bit, shut down and re-start it goes away.

The ABS set a code C0265 which refers to a problem in the ABS relay circuit. It appears that some of the solder joints inside the ABS Control Module fracture over time.

Do an internet search for something like Kelsey Hayes 325, code 0265 and you'll find videos of the repair. It consists of inspection and re-flowing some of the solder joints.

Confirm that you do indeed have the C0265 before opening up the module.

I haven't attempted the repair myself but it's on the to-do list.

Until you can either repair or replace the module, remove the 60-amp ABS fuse under the hood to keep the ABS pump from constantly running.
