I just brought home a 1985 chevy pickup and have a few questions.
1. There is not a bow tie emblem on the grill nor holes to mount one. Were the bow ties used in all the trucks. It’s a custom deluxe truck.
2. Has some hubcaps rather than rally hubs and beauty rings.
Are hubcaps stock?
3. No holes for side body trim. I would like to paint the bottom sides white like some I have seen but mine doesn’t have the holes to mount moldings that separates lower white and top color. Or would that mess up the original look of this one color truck?

Gino,
Unless it's a custom grill, all Chevy trucks had an emblem. Custom Deluxe is basically a fleet model. Barebones on options. Some did have hub caps. Even small ones called dog dish. Do yours cover the entire wheel or center only?
Trim options were optional on Custom Deluxe. Even the cab trim. Since it has no holes, I just suggest using tape on reproduction strips. Look for them at www.jcwhitney.com or www.lmctruck.com. I had an 81 blue custom deluxe that didn't have trim. We bought tape on and put it on ourselves. It looked good on the baby blue color. It was an I6 auto with a 350th option.

This will show you all of the equipment that was available optionally in 1985.

Rally wheels were a plus cost option over the base steel wheel.

Side trim is adhesive (except for the bed corners) and was available in black (RPO B84) or chrome (RPO B85).
