Need some info here. In the pic of the 2 RR win regulators, the one on the left is one I bought for the driver side. Its arm is a little different shape than the one on the right which I know is a pass. side RR regulator for a 47 convertible.

The close up is the crank stem of the one on the left. It has a small hole with a spring in it when I removed the crank, but of course, I lost it when I moved it. The spring is a little smaller than one that comes out of a ball point pen.

2 questions:
1. Does anyone know yr, make, model of the Left regulator?
2. Was the little spring that came out of the hole factory? or did someone add this?
ANY help appreciated!

I don't recall seeing anything like that on my '42 when I had it apart. My guess is that it might put a little pressure on the crank to keep it from rattling. Of course if mine had them they may have been lost years ago.

Cleon
Thanks for the reply, I dont think the spring is factory either, but I had to ask just to see the responses.
I noticed the amount of teeth are different between the two. (my 47 has 40 teeth the other one has like 28)
I was think about putting the correct arm from a spare I have on the driver side regulator, not sure if it would wok though.

Thanks!

I would go ahead and switch the arms, and try it. Nothing to lose. The window may not have enough travel with just 28 teeth.

I see
Would I be able to crank the window if I used the P/S on the D/S? would it work only backward?

Thanks!
