Im wondering if anyone here has successfully installed a crossover pipe on the exhaust system. Reason I ask is because I just installed some hooker aerochambers and an X pipe on my 1994 roadmaster wagon and they sound great. .

I have a LT1 in my 59 impala as well and currently have just some glasspacks on the car and its horrendously loud. Iv heard a few x frame exhaust systems and without a crossover pipe and they sound terrible.

I don’t think it can be done with the X frame in the way. Maybe find a shop experienced doing custom exhausts, see what they think.

On one of my x-frames (1961) I put a crossover right behind the front crossmember, in between there and the Oilpan , another x-frame (1963) I put it a little further back where where it first goes under chassis, curved around just behind the bellhousing and before the gearbox
