Can the outside ambient temperature dash indicator be calibrated? Mine is sometimes 6° too high.

I've never had a problem with mine, but on another board, someone dug up this info/procedure:

"To perform an instant update of the Ambient Temperature Sensor, simultaneously press and hold the Recirculation button and A/C button on the HVAC control head."

The dealer can also do this with their scan tool, but if I were you, I'd give the 'instant update' a try.

Also, make sure the sensor is in its proper location. Sometimes they get bumped / dislodged and wind up too close to the radiator or A/C condensor and they'll register that additional heat.

Of course, you may just have a faulty sensor. Checking RockAuto, it appears that they're only about $5 and are fairly easy to remove/replace.

Unplug and inspect the plug.
It works off resistance, therefore any loss of connection would cause higher resistance than normal which would affect the temp reading
