last year i bought a used(in great condition) 2010 express 1500 LS. the previous owner declined all the options, so i have no power windows or power door locks. i paid to have the aftermarket cruise control installed and it works great.

today i had to pull the trim off the rear door to set the inside door handle rod back into place as i couldn't open the door from inside. while the trim was off i was looking in the door and saw wiring going to the door handle/lock. again no power door locks or even switches but where's this wiring going to? is it possible i have the door lock motors and just no switches to operate them? could i just buy a switch and mount it on the driver door trim?

I don’t have any experience with these vehicles but perhaps it is cheaper for the assembly line to only have one universal harness, regardless of options, and that’s what the line installs in all Expresses. The harness may be bundled off in the doors.

Vehicles with power windows won’t have manual window cranks but all vehicles have manual door locks even if they also have power ones, for safety purposes. Power door locks solenoids / motors can easily be added to manual locks. Not so easy with power windows.

Just to note the switch for the door is in the latch that shows door ajar and turns on the domelamps.
I do not recall them putting full harness in these if not equipped. 2 wires I believe
