I have a 63 c10. I am trying to remove the straight 6. Can I remove the engine from the transmission without removing the tranny? I removed the 4 bolts from the tranny. I can pry the tranny back about a half inch. Other then that, no futher. I tried pulling it forward with pulling on the cherry picker but still no luck. My neighbor said to drop the tranny. I was hoping I didn't have to drop it.

I got it figured out. One bolt on each side of the cross member. Holding the bell housing.
