Yesterday, as my wife and I were leaving San Saba, Texas, at 10 mph I spotted an unusual sight. The vehicle was a 2-door 55 chevy station wagon, probably a Bel Air due to the side stainless that I noticed in passing. That encouraging site was marred as the wagon sat atop a mudder or monster chasis with monster tires. Any one needing wagon parts, etc. in the central Texas area can go to the area of southbound highway 16 (High Street) and turn west. The house is probably on West Church or West Storey about the 100 block.
In the interest of marital bliss, I did not stop nor take photos.

Larry

The only 2 door Bel Air wagon was the Nomad. If it had side stainless and wasn’t a Nomad, it was a 210. The 150 and sedan delivery had no side trim in ‘55. And I have seen Nomads on 4wd chassis before. One ‘57 had a plow and dual rear tires.

"That encouraging site was marred as the wagon sat atop a mudder or monster chasis with monster tires."
Sounds like the sight made you slow to 10 mph and your emotions went from encouraging to sickening.
Yes lot of things people do we will never under stand, when i see things like this i always tell myself,
"Geez, what a waste of a '55"
