We want to add AC to our '58 Impala 348. In California, we could get along OK without it, but in sunny southern New Mexico, it is simply not an option to be without. So, my question is what aftermarket setups work well? Any recommendations or suggestions?

Thanks folks.

Its a No Brainer. Vintage Air. They've been manufacturing A/C units for over three decades. I've been using them since the mid ninties with no complaints.

Vintage Air makes a good kit there are others Old Air comes to mind. The kits are not that difficult to install but you will loose part of your glovebox . I would recommend a electric cooling fan and a trinary switch.
