Hey guys not exactly sure where the hose from the vacuum tank for power brakes goes. I have a 283 engine.
Thanks

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but that looks like the tank for the Delco-Moraine power brake. There is a tee on the back of the power brake unit. A hose goes from the tee to the tank and another hose goes to a check valve on the back of the carburetor.

Yeah I have power brakes. I don't know if this delco moraine.
So what happens if it's not hooked up?

The vacuum tank stores enough vacuum to stop a couple of times with the engine stopped. If the engine quits for some reason, without it there will be no power assist.
