I'm unable to start and drive my cars for extended periods of time 1yr and longer. The gas in this area has ethanol in it. Is there anything that I can add to help solve starting problems. Draining the tank would be problematic. I have read different opinions on fuel stabilizers. Has anyone with this type of fuel figured out a solution. Thanks.

I've had real good luck with the Lucas stabilizer.

I get it at Walmart.

MAKE SURE you get the Sta-bil ethanol treatment. The Lucas Ethanol Fuel Conditioner is also a good product. None of these fuel stabilizers are intended for use of over 12 months however, and none of them will totally prevent phase separation, which in your case is a very real possibility.

If your cars sit for that long, you really should be draining the fluids. Your fuel and engine oil are definitely going to get contaminated by water after sitting for that long.

Yeah, so does mine.
It's not a vintage engine most likely not having had all the rubbers and plastics converted for ethanol use, either. You wanna risk it?

I betcha that there is somewhere in LA (on the LA map, which you are) that sells real gas.

I have 3 of em in my valley of 125K.

That wasn't really what your question was about though.
