Hi everyone I'm new here so bare with me. I have a 1997 ck2500 it has the 6.5td with the 4l80e trans and a 3button transfer case. Now I want to know what the difference is with the 243c transfer case? Can I use one if them and will it bolt right up? Does it matter if it was off of a 4l60 transmission at all without swapping parts. Any insight would be nice. Thanks

The 4l60 input has 28 splines and the 4l80 has 32. It would have to be fully disassembled to swap the input gear. Not a hard job.
