I'm selling a SBC engine for my son's mother. She said it's from a '68 or '69 K series truck and referred to it as a 327, 4-bolt. So, I started pokin' around and have found the following numbers so far:
Block: casting number 3932386; date: 9/30/68 (I 30 8)
VIN “XW” suffix- ’69 350ci, 255hp, 4bbl, manual, K10-K25
4-bolt main cap number 2482
Crank: number 1182 (forged; 2.45” mains, 2.10” rods)- 350ci spec.*
possible weak alpha-numeric prefix
Heads: casting number 3932454 (1.72” intake, 1.50” ex, 76cc chamber)
Intake: casting number 3927184 (’69 350ci Quadrajet)
Exhaust (left); not visible
Exhaust (right): casting number 3932465 (’69,’70- 327, 350, 400)
Quadrajet: 7028212 (1968, 48 state, Chevy, auto)
Obviously a '69.
Here's the kicker: I did a crude steel rule measurement from the bottom and got a 3.25" stroke. Is that possible?
