Hello everyone. I just bought a 98 3500. 7.4. It need lots of work, and the first issue I want to tackle is the running lights. The dimmer switch is out and needs replaced. The headlights come on when you turn the switch on to the running lights, then the brights when I flip it on. Do the running lights run through the dimmer switch as well? I figured if I replace the headlight switch the running lights should work. But I'm not sure and dont want to waste the money as funds are a bit tight. Any advice would be great, thanks

Ok so the guy I bought this truck from ran 2 little led fog lights off a relay, attached to the hot wire for the blinkers on the passenger side. I replaced the light switch and the turn signal switch. They running lights worked once or twice and then quit. I disconnected the relay to the fog lights and still not working. Took all the wiring for the relay and fog lights out, taped up his splice and still not working. 2 of the connections on the turn signal plug are burnt up pretty bad, I have pictures but cant figure out how to upload them. I'm thinking I burned the new turn signal switch up since the fog lights were still on the circuit. Any suggestions?
