What year 261 will bolt up to my 54 powerglide transmission?

I would think all years would. I don't think the bolt pattern would be different.

1953 210 Convertible, 261 with dual Carter YF 966S carbs, P.S., Remote Bendix P.B. Booster... shade-tree restoration about done.

School buses and 2-ton farm trucks had them in the late '50's up thru 1962.

Hi Airlifter, If your car is currently Powerglide with a smaller engine then you already have the parts.

You may need to pull the clutch pilot bush out of the 261 crank if it has one, and you will need the adapter flexplate, converter etc from your car.

Should really improve driveability with the extra torque.
