I don't have enough height in my garage for a 2 or 4 post lift, only an 8' ceiling.

Found this at local Costco store yesterday, a hydraulic scissor lift, 21" lift 7000Lb capacity.
For $1,449.99 Canadian, also on line for $50 more.

Also seen a 5000 LB one on Costco.com for $999.00US
I figure with a little ingenuity I could make an extra stand to put it on & get my Nomad to the ceiling. After lifting & putting on jack stands then using the stands to lift again.
Not as nice as a lift, but better than nothing.

Boy. I don't know. Most smaller scissor lifts that I have seen do not have a large (wide) foot print. Also the ones that I have been on were not real solid the higher up you went. So to put a car that is what 6-7 ft wide 15ft long might be a little nerve racking if it were my car. You might try to find a junker car and see if it works. IMO I'm sorry I did not look at the picture. I was referring to the type contractors use. This type will probably work just fine.

I am considering one of these for use in my garage with low ceiling height. I had considered a low level scissors lift when I found out about this.

www.maxjaxusa.com

It is a 2 post lift designed for low ceilings

If I had known about these I would probably have kept the 52 as it would sill have been possible for me to work under the car.

I was looking at the MaxJax lift, but i found one up here in Canada, virtually the same.
It needs 7'5" max height & will allow 45" under the vehicle (6,000Lbs), also portable like the MaxJax.
although it is on sale now till June for $1,900 Canadian & will only cost me $240 to have it shipped. It is a Mondial GP-6 model, found it on Kijiji in Winnipeg under 2 post lift.
At least it will allow me to lift the body off the frame. I will vault my ceiling to 9' 6" to allow me to use the full 45" of lift.

just checked the specs & this is actually a MaxJax just re-branded is all.

Take my $$$$! Barely enough to raise my '83 truck. Can't raise the extended cab truck. I need one that can lift 7000 lbs to be safe.
