Considering using engine (to include TBI), 700R4 trans and rear axle in a 63 Sedan. The engine wiring harness enters a fixture on the passenger side firewall. The ECM is behind the passenger sided kick panel. Is the wiring harness two-part in that the firewall fixture is also a connector or is wiring harness a single/continuous assembly and the firewall fixture simply a weatherproof entry port? Any thoughts/suggestions regarding this adaptation would be appreciated. Don

The following is my recollection of late 80's - early 90's GM vehicles...

The engine wiring harness you're referencing at the firewall bulkhead connector (C100) is a two-piece affair in late model GM vehicles.

The harness "halves" are held together with a central fastener and the connector itself is filled with a nasty, gooey, grease-like substance.
